Outpatient Services

Numerous Specialty Clinics are available by appointment. Call our Scheduling department to get an appointment.

The Outpatient Center at Cuero Community Hospital is located on the first floor of the hospital and opened in 1988. Additional rooms were added to total 14 exam rooms which opened in February 2010. All rooms have electronic charting and modern equipment. Our nursing staff cares for patients that need blood transfusions, catheter care, dressing changes, iv/port infusion therapy, injections, joint injections, and patient education. A variety of medications are available for anemia, "after chemo" injections, iron infusions, osteoporosis injections/infusions, injectable contraception and many types of antibiotic infusions. A pharmacist is available for consulation on these medications.

The Outpatient Center also provides specialty physician consultation which includes cardiology (heart), dermatology (skin), general surgery (operation), gynecology (well woman), hematology (blood), neonatology (newborn infant), nephrology (kidney), neurology (nervous system), oncology (cancer), orthopedic (bone), otolaryngology (ear, nose, and throat), pain management, podiatry (feet), radiology (x-ray), sports medicine, and urology (urinary tract).

Our patients also check into our departments for CAT scans, diet counseling, digital x-ray procedures, EEG, EKG, holter monitoring, lab testing, medication counseling, MRI, nuclear medicine, pulmonary function studies, sleep studies, stress testing and ultrasound exams. These tests can be ordered by our local physicians or by out of town physicians.

Our staff members include outstanding and dedicated RN's, LVN's, and a registration clerk. Hours are Monday through Friday from 7 am to 5pm. These staff members have an average 23 years experience in different nursing departments within the hospital system. Our goal is to treat each patient with kindness, compassion, trust, safety, and respect. We are committed to serving you, your family and the people of the community and surrounding communities.
