Heart disease is the number one killer among people in the United States. It is indiscriminate, attacking all social and economic circles. It is impartial.

When the heart is corroded and hardened by plaque, blood is impeded and an insufficient amount of blood gets through. When the heart doesn't get a sufficient amount of oxygen, it begins to suffer damage. If the corrosion blocks the entire artery, or particles chip away and rupture in the artery, a complete blockage occurs. Blood and oxygen don't get to the heart muscle and a heart attack occurs.
